白蜡虫Ericerus pela Chavannes是我国重要的特产资源昆虫.雄虫所分泌的白蜡具有很高的经济价值.雌虫虽不泌蜡,但能大量产卵繁殖,为白蜡生产提供虫源.了解白蜡虫的生物学特性,在虫、蜡生产中采取适当经营管理措施,对于提高白蜡虫种虫利用率和增加产量都有很大的意义。1981年我们在以往工作的基础上对此问题进行了研究,现将结果整理如下: White wax insect Ericerus pela Chavannes is an important specialty resource insects in our country.The waxes secreted by the male have very high economic value.While the female does not secrete wax, it can oviposit a lot and provide the source of white wax production.
