天剑学院是中国航天科工集团公司成立的第一家企业大学,是承担党政干部培训、岗位培训、继续工程教育、高级技术工人培训、安全生产培训、各类学历教育以及国家各类资格证书考试和培训的多功能、多学科、综合性教育培训基地。航天科工集团安全生产培训中心、航天科工集团研究生院均设在此。学院具有国家安全生产二级培训机构资质,是一家有资格开办中央党校进修班的二级企业党校。已初步构建了专业覆盖较为全面、人员层次较为合理的培训体系,形成了以内外部相结合的师资体系;出版了航天专业课程教材——《相控阵雷达数据处理》,以及数十本内部安全生产培训教材;建立了网络学习平台,与多所高校深入合作开展远程学历教育。
