The circuit can be used for color TV focus and linear adjustment, with a simple line, low cost and other advantages. The grid generator is driven by two clocks, one for horizontal drive (IClab) and the other for vertical drive (IC2ab). The output of both clocks is applied to two binary counters in IC5, which generates the line and frame sync pulses and the blanking period. The line clock buffered by IC1c is differentiated by C3R5 to generate a vertical bar signal. The vertical bar signal is controlled by IC4a. IC5a inhibits the bar signal during the line blanking period. The blanking period is generated by the AND of the Q3 and Q4 outputs of IC5a and is detected by IC4d. This output is also differentiated by C5R7 to generate the synchronization pulse LS. The same process is used to generate horizontal lines and frame sync pulses. In addition to providing the correct picture aspect ratio, IC5b is reset 12 times (Q3, Q4 AND) after 12 counts. The AND of Q2 and Q4 are used to generate the sync pulse FS and the blanking period.
