苏威在中国江苏泰兴市的新工厂将与泰国的工厂一样由甘油而非丙烯生产环氧树脂中间体环氧氯丙烷(ECH)。苏威控股的乙烯基和氯碱生产商Vinythai旗下的泰国工厂2月已开始10万t/a ECH的生产,目前定期供应给向亚洲市场。中国的新工厂耗资1.55亿元,开始将与泰国工厂具有同样的生产能力,这将使得Vinythai成为亚洲环氧氯丙烷第二大生产商。
Solvay’s new facility in Taixing, Jiangsu Province, China, will manufacture epoxide chlorinated epichlorohydrin (ECH), an epoxy resin, from glycerol instead of propylene in Thailand’s factories. The plant in Thailand, owned by Solvay-owned vinyl and chlor-alkali producer Vinythai, has started production of 100,000 t / a ECH in February and is now regularly supplied to the Asian market. The new plant in China, worth 155 million yuan, will initially have the same production capacity as the Thai factory, which will make Vinythai the second largest producer of epichlorohydrin in Asia.
