在作物的营养生理上,硅素虽然还没有被列为必需的营养元素,但它在农作物营养上的作用,越来越被人们所认识和重视。许多国家对硅肥的研究试验和施用已经进行多年,日本每年施硅矿渣100多万吨,一般可使作物增产6—15%。那么,硅肥究竟有那些作用呢?一是能促进作物对氮的吸收,提高氮肥的利用率。试验证明:在施用氮肥的基础上,配合施用硅肥都比单施氮肥的增产,并随着施氮量的增加,配施硅肥增产效果更为明显。在施氮水平高的土壤中施用硅肥,在一定程度上能抑制作物呼吸作用,促使作物体内有机质向合成方向转移,可防止因高氮而造成的作物徒长和倒伏。二是硅肥能改善作物的磷素条件,促进作物新陈代谢。当土壤中缺乏磷酸,施用硅肥就会使土壤中一部分不可
