作为搜集、存贮、交流科技文献情报中心的图书馆,积极做好读者导读工作,主动导引读者正确、迅速地获取学习、科研工作中急需的适用知识,更好地发挥图书馆的“两个职能”,已成为图书馆业务中一项既重要而又具有广阔前景的工作任务。笔者结合本馆实际,仅就工科院校图书馆开展自然科学导读工作,谈谈自己的看法。一、自然科学导读工作的重要性 1.做好自然科学导读工作有利于工科院校教学、科研任务的完成。工科院校的中心任务是培养自然科学人才和研究、开发自然科学成果。它的专业性质和任务,决定了自然科学在整个工科院校中所处的重要地位。而作为这些院校的图书馆来说,就应紧密围绕学校的中心任务,做好读者服务工
