On September 18, 2015, the Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition, which continued with Master Isaac Stern for nearly half a century, was officially launched. This is also the first music brand founded by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra following the music festival of the regiment, the Shanghai Summer Festival, the Shanghai New Year Concert and the Shanghai Band Academy, becoming the first international violin event to be founded by the Professional Symphony Orchestra. Perhaps many people still remember the magnificent scene when the violin master Isaac Stern first visited China in 1979, shortly after the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States.
