根据中蒙两国1989～1990年文化交流执行计划,应文化部图书馆司的邀请,由蒙古人民共和国国家中央图书馆馆长查嘎其为团长的蒙古图书馆代表团一行5人于1989年9月11日～23日对我国进行了友好访问。代表团在华期间,先后参观考察了北京、上海、内蒙古自治区的图书馆事业,与中国国家图书馆——北京图书馆、北京市崇文区图书馆、北京市昌平县图书馆、上海图书馆、内蒙古自治区图书馆、内蒙古大学图书馆、内蒙古伊克昭盟图书馆的同行进行
