学具操作是数学活动的重要组成部分,也是学生学习数学的重要方式。新课标指出:“要通过直观教学和实际操作,引导学生在感性材料的基础上理解数学概念,进行简单的判断、推理,掌握数学最基础的知识,逐步发展学生初步的逻辑思维。”操作是思维的起点,学生通过学具操作可以获取大量的感性知识,为思维提供支柱。因此,教师要精心设计学具操作活动,让学生通过操作、思考发现一种知识或一种方法,成为操作和思维的主体。
