牛、马、猪、羊、鸡、狗是最早被人类驯服、饲养成为人类服务的6种动物。人类应当感谢它们。若论其各自功劳,牛排在首位是当之无愧的。牛以其任劳任怨、吃苦耐劳、憨厚朴实、默默无闻、全身奉献的本性与特点,为人类的生产、生活做出了巨大的贡献。正因如此,我们用“吃的是草,挤的是奶”这句话赞扬那些只讲奉献、不求索取的人。也正因如此,世界各国的邮票里也少不了牛的形象。适逢又一个牛年到来,笔者愿将自己收藏的中、外 Cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, chickens and dogs are among the first six animals to be tamed by humans and reared into human services.
