Patients receiving organ transplants often use immunosuppressive agents to prevent graft rejection. The incidence of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) in these patients is higher than in the general population. This article analyzes the incidence of NHL in 45,141 kidney transplant recipients and in 7634 heart transplant recipients. The above cases were from January 1983 to June 1991 in patients with heart and kidney transplants in Europe and North America. All patients were followed up for at least 1 year (3,6 and 12 months, respectively), followed by 1 year follow-up.
