Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of captopril and naproxen on adjuvant arthritis in rats. Methods The model of adjuvant arthritis in rats was established. The left and right foot displacement of rats were measured. The difference of the displacement before and after the inflammation represented the degree of swelling of the joints. Captopril and naproxen were divided into 6 groups: negative control group, naproxen 25mg / kg, 50mg / kg, captopril 100mg / kg group, naproxen 25mg / kg + captopril 100mg / kg group and naproxen 50mg / kg + captopril 100mg / kg group. Observation of joint swelling and pathological changes. Results Naproxen 25 mg / kg, 50 mg / kg and captopril 100 mg / kg alone significantly reduced the degree of swelling of the ankle in late rats. The degree of swelling in the joint of Naproxen 25mg / kg + captopril 100mg / kg group was higher than that of the other drugs alone when combined with the drug. The swelling degree of naproxen 50mg / kg + captopril 100mg / kg group was obviously Reduce, but no significant difference compared with the two drugs alone. Naproxen 25 mg / kg, 50 mg / kg and captopril 100 mg / kg alone, as well as the combination of naproxen 50mg / kg + captopril 100mg / kg group rats ankle synovial cell layer less hyperplasia Small, synovial tissue hyperemia and edema improved, the joint cavity inflammatory cell infiltration decreased significantly and the extent of articular cartilage damage reduced, while naproxen 25mg / kg + captopril 100mg / kg group of ankle sections did not improve. Conclusions Captopril and naproxen have similar anti-inflammatory effects. However, the combination of captopril and naproxen does not produce any synergistic effect or antagonism. The two drugs should not be used in combination.
