一、背景近百年来兴起的多种多样的现代化机械加工,若从几何和运动角度加以概括,都可归纳成为一个共同的问题,即一个几何图形通过共轭运动形成另一共轭几何图形。譬如,在最简单的螺纹车削中,车刀刀刃就是一个几何图形,车刀沿工件轴线的直线运动及工件的回转运动就是共轭运动,结果在工件表面形成的螺纹曲面就是另一共轭几何图形。一般来说,一个复杂的几何图形,可以利用一个复杂曲面通过简单共轭运动来形成,例如拉削,冷拔、冲压等;也可以利用一个简单曲面通过复杂的共轭运动来形成。例如数控加工就是一个典型的例子。
