腊八粥——最初是佛教的一种宗教节日食品。在释迦牟尼成佛的传说里,牧女给他吃的就是由各种食品混合组成的粥。恢复元气的释迦牟尼到菩提树下静坐沉思,于十二月初八日得道成佛。从此每年到“腊八”这天,寺院的僧侣们都要取清新干果熬制成粥供奉佛祖。这就是腊八粥的来历。佛教在我国流传深远,因而民间也沿袭了这一习俗。腊八粥现又称八宝粥,用料为桂圆、苡米、麦片、糯米、绿豆、红豆、芸豆、花生等八物(也可选自己喜爱的如芡实、栗子等)。
Laba - originally a Buddhist religious holiday food. In the legend of Sakyamuni Buddha, the herdsmen fed him was a porridge made of a mixture of various kinds of food. The resurrected Buddha Sakyamuni sat meditating under the bodhi tree and attained Buddhahood on the eighth day of December. From this every year to the “Laba” day, the temple monks have to take fresh dried fruit porridge served Buddha. This is the history of Laba. Buddhism is far-reaching in our country, so folk also follow this custom. Laba porridge is also known as rice pudding, materials used for longan, yi mai, cereals, rice, mung bean, red beans, kidney beans, peanuts and other eight things (also choose your favorite such as real, chestnuts, etc.).
