首钢重型汽车公司根据首钢矿山和国内市场的需求,从设计、样车试制到工业性试验只用了17个月的时间,就开发研制了SGA3721型42吨矿用自卸汽车,其国产化率达83.03%。首批2台样车,从1992年7月10日至1993年4月24日,在大石河铁矿完成了35000km工业性试验,在平均运距1.89km、重载连续上坡(平均6.5%)的条件下,完好率达82.5%,实际使用日历台时分别为4776h和4968h,完成运量分别为378084t和382158t,平均台年效率可达运量68万t、周转量129万tkm,柴油消耗为937kg/万tkm(ЯМЗ—240НМ型柴油机)。 1993年6月16日至17日,冶金部科技司于首钢矿业公司召开了SGA3721型矿用自卸汽车
