被告人陈良宇,男,1946年10月24日出生,原系中共第十六届中央委员会委员、中央政治局委员、上海市委书记。曾任上海市黄浦区人民政府区长,中共上海市委副书记,上海市人民政府副市长、代理市长、市长。2007年7月26日,因涉嫌受贿罪、滥用职权罪被逮捕。被告人陈良宇涉嫌受贿、滥用职权一案,由最高人民检察院于2007年7月23日立案侦查。2007年10月25日,最高人民检察院侦查终结并将案件经天津市人民检察院移交天津市人民检察院第二
Defendant Chen Liangyu, male, born on October 24, 1946, was originally a member of the CCP’s 16th Central Committee, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee. He used to be the mayor of Huangpu District People’s Government in Shanghai, the deputy secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the deputy mayor and the mayor of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. On July 26, 2007, he was arrested for abusing his power on suspicion of accepting bribes.
