With the rising living standards of the Chinese people, public demand for health care is more urgent and extensive. The health care market and health communication leaders have a long history of public information asymmetry, the quality of practitioners is mixed, and the dissemination of content is mixed. The government lacks public guidance and institutional supervision mechanisms. As a result, mainstream experts, normative rhetoric, and scientific content rarely receive active response from the public; grassroots experts, flicker-language, and “remedies” and “explica” that are not based on scientific evidence are very popular.
