芭蕾(Ballet)一词,来源于意大利语的Ballare(即跳舞)和古拉丁语的Ballo,最后用法语的Ballet确定下来,并一直沿用至今。早在文艺复兴时期,人文主义思潮影响下的人们开始重视人体本身的价值和作用,从而推动了社会的经济、科学和文化的迅猛发展。芭蕾就是在这样的一个历史背景下,在古朴的民间舞的基础上,从一种游戏性质的舞蹈开始,在意大利宫廷中逐渐形成—种具有确定风格、舞步与技巧的艺术形式。那时的芭蕾作为一种简单的娱乐形式由王公贵族在宫廷各种庆祝活动和宴
The word ballet, which originated from the Italian Ballare (that is, dancing) and Ballo in the Old Latin, was finally settled by the Ballet in French and has been in use ever since. As early as in the Renaissance, people under the influence of humanistic ideological trends began to value the value and role of the human body itself, and thus promoted the rapid development of society’s economy, science, and culture. Ballet is in such a historical context, on the basis of ancient folk dance, starting from a dance of the nature of the game, gradually formed in the Italian court - an art form with definite style, dance steps and skills.
