泰山风景优美,秀丽别致;而泰山的岩石更是千姿百态,为泰山增添了光彩。这里首屈一指的就数泰山醉心石了。当你穿过“一天门”漫步“红门”幽道石阶时,垒垒奇石就涌入眼帘。泰山醉心石为一平卧的直径0.5—2米,长度5—20米的圆柱体。它发育在距今为1.8亿年左右的辉绿玢岩岩脉内,而周围大片出露的是大约为25亿年的泰山古老变质岩系。该岩脉从“红门”向泰山顶峰“玉皇顶”延伸,长度约5000米左右,宽度在0—60米之间变化。像醉心石这样的石头,不只一处发现,有的群集在一起形状活象堆垒起来的汽油桶,有规律地从地下深处一直垒到地面,过去称为“桶状构造”。

The dyke extends from “Red Door ” to Mount Tai “Jade Emperor ”, about 5000 meters in length and varying in width from 0 to 60 meters. Stones like Drunken Stone, found not only in one place, but also in clusters of petrol drums shaped like heaps, regularly rushing from the depths of the ground to the ground, formerly known as the “barrel structure.”
