现代社会科学中很多的混乱与争论都是由于社会制度的概念与理论上的分歧而产生的。这些分歧是基本的,因为文化的研究,是集中于制度的分析的。至少有两种主要而分歧的思想流派从分析过去19世纪的文化里产生了出来,虽然要把所有的新旧作家单纯地说成为这些思想流派的哪一派,当然是不可能的。
Much of the chaos and controversy in the modern social sciences have arisen from the conceptual and theoretical disagreements of the social system. These differences are fundamental because the study of culture is focused on institutional analysis.
