马占山,字秀芳,吉林省怀德县毛家城子乡毛家城子村西炭窑屯人。1885年11月30日出生于一个贫寒的农民家庭。1931年“九一八”事变后不久,他率部打响了抗日第一枪。从此,成为一位威震全国的著名抗日将领。 立志占山闯天下 1931年11月,上海南洋兄弟烟草公司为宣传和发动民众抗日,特制了一种号称“马占山牌”的香烟,人们都争相购买,借以表达对于在东北黑龙江的嫩江桥畔打响抗战第一枪的抗日名将马占山的慰劳、赞佩和声援。与此同时,国内外报纸载文,称马占山是“在充满灾难的中国是中国高级官吏中可堪称道仅有的一个”。
