A harsh winter 21 years ago, I was in a state of uneasy anxiety and took a military flight from Beijing to the northwest alone. As the plane slowly landed in a small oasis in the vast desert, I did not even know where I was and what the engineering was going to be. Prior to departure, the supervisor only gave a rough explanation to me. There was a problem with an important project and asked me to deal with it. Moreover, I issued a death order that I can only succeed, can not fail, or can not come back. At that time, my mood was unimaginable And know. When I arrived, I learned that there was a deep foundation construction currently under way along the Zinachi River. People thought it was impossible to have too much groundwater in the dry sandy sea where the water drips into ice and the air blisters into frost and the average day and night temperatures are minus 40 ℃. I did not expect here is very rich in groundwater, ground water permeability is extremely strong, hindering the construction of the project.
