From 1987/88 onwards, 88% of the sewage from Hamburg, West Germany, was transferred from the current Kolblandenhan Sewage Treatment Plant to the Drlatno Wastewater Treatment Plant that is under construction. The transmission pipeline connecting these two plants is 2.2km long. In the construction plan with many opinions, the shield tunneling method was used last.
