《家庙街清真寺重修大殿捲棚大门功德碑记》证明清真寺的修建年代不晚于道光二十九年,重新考证了清真寺居民来源和职业构成。同时,广为流传的武状元白成龙的故事反映了清代乾隆至同治时期家庙街当地回汉关系的曲折变化,折射出此次历时23年之久的修寺经过,主要是受到了咸同西北回民起义的影响,导致家庙街地方回汉矛盾激化,并最终影响了清真寺的重修进程。
