An enantioselective synthetic route to (+)-13-acetyl-12-hydroxy-podocarpane-8,11,13-triene-7-one 1a and (-)-13-acetyl-12-hydroxy-podocarpane-8,11,13-triene-7-one 1b was developed from (S)-(-)-(-cyclocitral 8a and (R)-(+)-(-cyclocitral 8b.
