唐纳托·吉恩科拉(DONATO GIANCOLA),1967年出生于美国佛蒙特州的科尔切斯特。在唐纳托成长的过程中,艺术一直是他的业余爱好,想象游戏占据了他的童年。20岁时,唐纳托接受了生平第一次正式的艺术课教育,开始了他的专业训练之旅。1992年,唐纳托以优异的成绩从雪城大学(Syracuse University)毕业,取得绘画美术学士学位。上世纪90年代早期,他成为杰出的人物画家文森特·德塞德里奥工作室的助手,这份工作为他日后风格的形成起到了很大的作用。在其绘画作品中以现实主义的手法平衡了多个现代概念,在当代与历史具象艺术之间搭建起了一座沟通的桥梁。他个人一直致力于科幻小说和奇幻艺术在商业运作范围以外的推广,以提高大众对这些特殊艺术类型的鉴赏力。
DONATO GIANCOLA, born 1967 in Colchester, Vermont, USA. In the process of growing up in Donato, art has always been his hobby, imagination games occupy his childhood. At the age of 20, Donato accepted his first formal art education in his life and began his professional training tour. In 1992, Donato graduated with honors from Syracuse University with a BA in Painting and Fine Arts. In the early 1990s, he became an aide to the outstanding painter Vincent de Sedrio, a work that shaped his future style. In his paintings, he realistically balanced many modern concepts and established a bridge of communication between contemporary and historical figurative art. He personally has always been committed to the promotion of science fiction and fantasy arts beyond the scope of commercial operations so as to enhance public appreciation of these special art types.
