Vitek Automated System (Vitek - AMS ) was used to identify 118 foodstuffs and environmental isolates includ ed in 4 7 speCies in 2 2genus, the results showed that 48 (94. 1 % ) were correctly identified at the genus level, 36 (70. 6 % ) at the species level in 51 Gramnegative isolatesl 29(93. 5 % ) were correctly identified at the genus level, 17(54. 8%) at the species level in 31 nonspore Grampositive isolatest 24(66. 7% ) were correctly identified at the species level in 36 Baciilus genus isolates. Time of final correctly identified by Vitek AMS for each isolate was discussed, in addition, 45 (27. 6 % ) isolates weren’t identified, the problems were also discussed in the paper.
