According to the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government’s decision on the provincial-level joint state-owned commercial system reform, the Guangdong Provincial Commercial Enterprise Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “Group”) has been formally established and opened for business. This is a major measure for the reform of the commercial management system by the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, and a new breakthrough for the provincial circulation system reform. The formation of the group meets the needs set by the Party’s 14th Party Congress to establish a target model of the socialist market economic system, which is conducive to giving play to the group advantages of provincial state-owned businesses and enabling enterprises to fight in the market competition. Organization form and business scale Group consists of three layers: core layer, close layer and semi-close layer.
