Greece used to be one of the cradles of human wisdom. However, since it lost the attraction of a center of intelligence in 300 BC, Greeks have been flowing abroad from time to time. The number of Greeks who now live overseas and stay home is 3 to 10. However, what this article is about is the current situation of brain drain in Greece. From the 1960s to the 1970s, the outflow of Greek talents under the rule of the military regime was so serious that the country was greatly injured. The incumbent Prime Minister Papandreou himself left the country and was a professor at York University in Toronto. Only after returning to his homeland in 1974 did he return to politics.
