(1)共矿物性质部(“Part I”)之形态一章内着重於对稱方向,创设APn,CAn等符号,以直线投影法求定晶带符号,明释晶带式样与晶系之关系,偏重于直射投影及球体赤道平面投影并晶体之书法,皆可为此书之优点。惟球顶平面投影图,各种晶面之数学关系——即面角,轴角,轴率之计算法——皆付阙如。此诸事,固较难,然为诱导学者计,何妨少举数例,以示其梗概。
