《推销员之死》通过描述主人公威利·洛曼的悲惨一生反映了“美国梦”的虚幻性和欺骗性,是阿瑟·米勒对“美国梦”深刻的阐释。“中国合伙人”是导演陈可辛以新东方的发展史为题材所拍摄的有关创业传奇的电影,该片通过双线分别描述了两位主人公的“美国梦”的破灭和“中国梦”的实现。本文通过对两部著作的主人公进行对比分析以及对“美国梦”和“中国梦”内涵的描述,指出了“美国梦”破灭的必然性,同时揭示了“中国梦”的雄起。
The Death of a Salesman reflects Arthur Miller’s illusion and deceit of “American Dream ” by describing the tragic life of hero Willy Lohmann as a profound interpretation of “American Dream ” by Arthur Miller. “Partner of China ” is a film directed by entrepreneur Peter Chan on the subject of the history of the New Oriental. The piece describes the “heroic dreams” of the two protagonists and the “ Dream ”realization. Through the comparative analysis of the protagonists of the two books and the description of the connotation of “American Dream” and “Chinese Dream”, this paper points out the inevitability of the burst of the “American Dream” and reveals the “Chinese Dream ”Xiongqi.
