Japan’s cold storage buildings are mostly reinforced concrete beamed or unbeamed structures and steel structures. In areas where urban land is relatively tense, large-scale cold storage houses generally use multi-storey buildings, with five floors and some eight floors. The floor height is generally about 4.5 to 5.8 meters. In areas where the land is not too tight, small and medium-sized warehouses mostly use single-layer steel structures, with a net height of about 6 meters. Cold storage doors use electric doors and anti-freeze heaters are installed on the doors. The battery handling and forklift trucks are also used in the warehouse. They also use conveyor belts and skateboards. There are gasoline forklifts used outside the warehouse. Vertical transport elevators, with an average of one ton per kiloton of storage capacity
