在26~28℃,相对湿度65%~80%条件下,用玉米面和麦麸以7:3配方进行的饲养密度试验,结果以每公斤饲料投卵2000粒的处理最好,平均蛹重33mg,平均蛹长10. 2mm,成蛾率38%,单雌产卵354粒,繁殖倍数达49倍。对米娥分布密度和化蛹习性调查发现,饲养盒内米蛾在边角区的分布约占40%,边缘区中间区各占30%。米蛾具有相互紧密靠近,群集化蛹习性,蛹茧多为一层竖状排列,在极拥挤条件下才有二层排列,下层蛹茧排列呈不规则状,羽化时很难钻透饲料面。
