明代大量軍屯移民進入西南地區,逐漸由軍功集團轉變為文人群體,不僅促進了地方士大夫社會的產生,而且也旁助了黔省學術思想世界的形成。儘管從整體上看,“華夷雜處”的社會結構始終長期存在,但地方社會國家化的進程仍在不斷加快。其中最突出者即為舉業規模的迅速擴大,精英人物的成隊崛起。而黔中陽明心學地域學的形成和發展,恰好配合了地方士子文化認同的心理取向,構成了學術思想世界引人矚目的現象學景觀,彌補了大小傳統懸殊過甚造成了的反差或縫隙。
