东晋王义之的《皇象帖》,举凡已知所有予以收录的丛帖如宋拓《淳化阁帖》、《绛帖》和《大观帖》等,均书刻作“皇象草章旨信送之勿三当付良信”十四字,尤其“勿三”之“三”字书刻甚为明显,此后历代转相翻刻拓本皆然;北宋刘次庄《法帖释文》、稍后陈与义补释亦然,即释为“勿三”两字。惟独我馆新近自海外征集《淳化阁帖》最善本间《皇象帖》“勿三”之“三”字分明书刻作“忘”。据此,足已确定入藏我馆北宋最善本定位当之无愧,因为一字之得,善莫大焉。
