张东柯,1963年生于江苏省涟水县,1986年获南京工学院(今东南大学)工程热物理专业硕士学位,1993年初获英国纽卡索(Newcastle)大学博士学位。同年,他受聘为澳大利亚阿德雷德大学化学工程系讲师,1999年2月,被聘为科廷科技大学的教授,成为澳大利亚最年轻的工程学科教授之一。是澳大利亚煤工业和政府联合发起的COAL21工程的技术顾问团成员之一,拥有260多种科技出版物的知识产权。曾获澳大利亚燃烧学会的DavidWarren奖(1996)、阿德雷德大学最佳研究生导师奖(1998)、由澳大利亚工程师协会和国际化学工程师协会颁发的SheddenUhde奖章(2000)、国际燃烧学会年轻科学家奖(2001),并于2003年入选为国际能源基金会会员。2004年11月,他当选为澳大利亚工程院院士,成为该院4位华人院士之一。
Zhang Dongke was born in Lianshui County, Jiangsu Province in 1963. He received a master’s degree in engineering thermal physics from Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) in 1986 and a Ph.D. from Newcastle University in early 1993. In the same year, he was hired as a lecturer in chemical engineering at the University of Adelaide in Australia. In February 1999, he was hired as a professor at Curtin University of Science and Technology and became one of the youngest professors in engineering in Australia. Is one of the technical advisory groups to COAL21, a co-sponsored coal industry and government in Australia, with more than 260 intellectual property rights in scientific and technical publications. He was awarded the David Warren Prize by the Australian Society for Combustion (1996), the Best Graduate Tutor Award at the University of Adelaide (1998), the Shedden Uhde Medal (2000) by the Australian Society of Engineers and the International Society of Chemical Engineers, the Young Scientist Award of the International Society for Combustion 2001), and in 2003 was selected as a member of the International Energy Foundation. In November 2004, he was elected as an academician of the Australian Academy of Engineering and became one of the four Chinese academicians in the institute.
