新中国发行的五套纸币中,只有第二套人民币发行了分币券。1955年3月1日,中国人民银行开始发行壹分、贰分、伍分三种面额的纸币,作为第二套人民币的辅币来流通使用,历经半个多世纪。随着我国国民经济发展和人民生活水平的提高,分币使用领域不断缩小,2007年4月1日,纸分币正式退市。纸分币的发行发行之初,每一枚纸分币正面都印有三个罗马冠字和七个阿拉伯数字编码,收藏圈俗称为“长码”(图1)。1953版壹分纸币主色为茶、米色,正面图案为
Of the five sets of banknotes issued by New China, only the second set of Renminbi has been issued as sub-notes. On March 1, 1955, the People’s Bank of China began issuing banknotes of one denomination, two quinriages, and five denominations, and circulated for use as the second set of RMB denominations. It took more than half a century.
