廖一帆同志六十年代任《人民教育》编辑部总编室主任、副总编辑,我们与他共事十一年,如今他因病医治无效,与世长辞了,我们无不悲痛。但他忠恳朴实的音容笑貌,仍然活在我们心中。 一帆同志一贯热爱共产党、热爱祖国、热爱人民。他1917年生于广东大埔县,早年留学日本,并参加学生进步组织。1937年,日本帝国主义者制造芦沟桥事变。当中国处在危急存亡之际,一帆同志为了抗日救国,他毅然从日本回国,在中国共产党领导下从事革命工作,具体做日军战俘工作。他会日语,了解日本的风俗民情,做日俘的工作深切入微,收效甚大,使不少日俘懂得了中国共产党的宗旨、性质,懂
