常州市郊多年来均采用“苏州牛角”茄为主栽品种,由于种植年代较久,品种混杂退化,丰产、抗病性状均有所下降。为了适应生产发展,满足市民需要,1987年我公司从南京市蔬菜研究所引进了茄子新品种——“紫长茄”。经过三年来的品比试验和多点示范,已获成功。该品种丰产、早熟、抗病、优质,深受消费者欢迎。一般亩产2000-2500公斤,比“苏州牛角”茄增产20~30%,增值27.72%。
Over the years, the suburbs of Changzhou have adopted “Suzhou horns” as the main cultivated variety.
