澳门的中资机构在沟通澳门与大陆的经济联系、贸易发展等方面一直起着积极的、不可低估的作用。老牌的中资集团以中银集团、南光集团有限公司、澳门中旅(集团)有限公司为主,到了80年代,又有南粤集团、珠光集团、中福集团等在澳门经济领域迅速崛起。中银集团中国银行澳门分行自1950年成立以来。在金融业务方面为澳门的发展做出了较大的贡献。截止到1994年底,中银在澳门已发展到22家支行,1200多名职员,资产总值达337亿港元。1995年10月,又成为继澳门大西洋银行后一家发行澳门法定货币的代理银行。根据中葡双方达成的协议和澳门有关法令规定,中国银行澳门分行参预发钞的数量占澳门现钞流行量的50％。
