This report presents the activities of the HERA engineering team, which was started in 1986 by Michel (University of Indianapolis, Faculty of Electronics), Geoff Schloeff (University of Tübingen) and Marty Yas. Gross (University of Stuttgart Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics) composed of three people, and cooperation with the West Aerospace Research Institute. The project by Matthias, Gross (the author) is responsible. HERA Engineering is working on applications related to medium energy hybrid rocket motors, focusing on researching and mastering technologies that are actually used in hybrid engines. The engineering team developed a small sounding rocket to demonstrate the technology used. The mission was implemented beyond the mere study of a hybrid rocket engine such as the safety recovery of a rocket, the stability of the engine operating section, and how to achieve optimal design. The funds for the project are mainly funded by the participants themselves and funded by numerous research institutes and industry advocates. Most of the funding is provided in kind and free of charge.
