Abstract Objective To investigate whether the hepatic MRI relaxation rate of Gd-EOB-DTPA can quantitatively assess the hepatic function determined by indocyanine green (ICG) clearance. Methods 107 patients underwent ICG detection and Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI, including 3 T MR relaxation imaging. The 3D VIBE sequence cross-sectional scan with built-in T1 value calculation program was performed before Gd-EOB-DTPA injection and 20 min after injection. The rate of reduction of T1 (rr T1) before and after contrast injection was calculated and liver-based
