思想政治工作作为党的政治优势,本来就具有较强的政治色彩。但是,在发展社会主义市场经济过程中,有些地方和单位的思想政治工作淡化了应有的政治色彩。比如,调动人的积极性的宣传工作不讲政治(即不强调思想政治觉悟),党员过组织生活不谈政治(不从政治上开展批评与自我批评)。特别是少数党员领导干部的政治观念淡薄,使这种不讲或少讲政治的倾向更加严重,从而直接影响了思想政治工作的质量。针对这种情况,提出“向政治要质量”显然是必要的。 之所以会产生思想政治工作不讲或少讲政治的现象,与以下几种模糊认识不无关系。

However, in the process of developing the socialist market economy, the ideological and political work in some places and units has weakened the due political features. For example, advocacy efforts that mobilize people’s enthusiasm do not speak of politics (ie, do not emphasize ideological and political awareness), and party members do not talk about politics in their organizational life (they are not politically criticized and self-criticized). In particular, the weak political concept of the leading cadres of the minority party members has worsened the tendency to speak less or speak less of politics, thereby directly affecting the quality of the ideological and political work. In view of this situation, it is obviously necessary to put forward the principle of “asking for the quality of politics.” The reason why political and ideological political work will not speak or speak less of the phenomenon of politics, with the following fuzzy understanding is not unrelated.
