王爪子醇提物能明显抑制正常及摘除肾上腺大鼠角叉胶性足肿胀，对小鼠蛋清性足肿胀及大鼠巴豆油性气囊肿的渗出及肉芽组织增生均有明显的抑制作用，并能明显降低小鼠皮肤毛细血管通透性，抑制巴豆油所致小鼠耳廊肿胀，抑制醋酸所致的小鼠扭体反应，但不能延长摘除肾上腺大鼠的生存时间，提示其抗炎作用与垂体-肾上腺系统无明显关系，小鼠急性灌胃LD50＞200g生药／kg。
