读者协会是部分学生自愿联合组织起来,阅读图书,为同学们服务的群众性组织。由图书馆牵头,定期开设“怎样利用图书馆”、“怎样读好书”、“智力竞赛”、“读书心得座谈会”等系列讲座,成立“读书角”向同学们推荐经典名著,通过广播、黑板报、读者园地、会员通讯等沟通图书管理人员与读者的联系,架起图书与读者的桥梁,通过读者协会,反映读者需求,指导读者阅读。流通部门、通过读者协会,反馈读者信息,检验自身的工作,提高和改进服务态度及工作质量,在一定程度上还可以提高馆藏质量。因此,读者协会,是导读的一种最好形式。
