近20年来,关于上海城市史和建筑史的研究极其繁盛,众多成果又可大致分为几个类型:第一类是对上海、租界或某一区域展开宏观研究,如《上海近代建筑风格》、《上海百年建筑史》、《百年回望:上海外滩建筑与景观的历史变迁》等;第二类关注幻化的都市现象,抑或从某一特殊视角进行剖析,如《上海摩登》、《Art Deco的源与流》、《文化适应与中心转移——近现代上海空间变迁的都市人类学研究》等。值得注意的是,近年上海建筑研究越来越有“聚焦”的倾向,或着眼于某个单体建筑,或研究都市演进某个时段的特殊事件,继而牵扯出隐匿其后的时代背景及人文情怀。由于聚焦,此类研究往往能以更翔实的史料揭示更丰满而真实的历史——不同于宏观叙事的历史,《都市遗产的保护与再生:聚焦外滩》就是这样一本论丛。
In the recent 20 years, the research on the history of Shanghai’s urban architecture and architecture has been extremely prosperous, and many achievements can be broadly divided into several types. The first category is a macro-study of Shanghai, the concession or a certain region such as “Shanghai Modern Architectural Style” , “History of a Century Building in Shanghai”, “A Hundred Years Looking Back: Historic Changes of Shanghai Bund Architecture and Landscape”, etc. The second category focuses on the illusion of urban phenomena or from a special perspective, such as “Shanghai Modern”, “Art Deco’s Source and Flow ”,“ Cultural Adaptation and Center Shift - Urban Anthropological Study on the Spatial Transition of Shanghai in Modern Times ”. It is noteworthy that in recent years, architectural research in Shanghai has become more and more “focused”, or focused on a single building or studying a particular event of a certain period of urban evolution, which in turn leads to a hidden backdrop of the times And human feelings. Due to the focus, such studies tend to reveal a fuller and true history with more detailed historical materials - unlike the history of macro narratives, “The Protection and Regeneration of Urban Heritage: Focusing on the Bund” is one such essay.
