党的十四届六中全会作出的《决议》,是我国跨世纪的社会主义精神文明建设纲领。《决议》重点阐述了社会主义现阶段的思想道德和文化建设问题。思想道德建设的核心是思想建设。道德建设一定要在正确思想的指导下进行。确立社会主义道德必须以科学理论为指导。这是关系到在当今时代,我们这么大的国家、这么大的党,用什么思想来统一全体党员和人民的认识,从而把大家凝聚起来,为建设社会主义现代化而努力奋斗的根本问题。党的十四大提出,要用邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论武装全党、教育干部和人民,这是摆在我们面前的一项重大战略任务。搞好跨世纪的社会主义精神文明建设,必须紧紧抓住这个根本。
The “Resolution” made by the 6th Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party is the program of building a socialist spiritual civilization across the century in our country. The “Resolution” focuses on the ideological and ethical and cultural construction at the present stage of socialism. The core of ideological and moral construction is ideological construction. Moral construction must be conducted under the guidance of correct thinking. The establishment of socialist morality must be guided by scientific theories. This is a fundamental issue that concerns the unity of all party members and people in today’s era, our country so big, the party so big, and the ideas we use to unite all party members and people, so as to unite all of them and work hard to build a socialist modernization. The 14th CPC National Congress proposed that it is a major strategic task for us to arm the entire party, educate cadres and the people with Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. To do a good job in building a socialist spiritual civilization across the entire century, we must firmly grasp this fundamental issue.
