Almost any interior design project in the Coachella Valley in California is heavily influenced by “mid-century modern style” or “California style.” This style stems from some influential architectural designs appearing in the middle of the last century in the Palm Springs area, especially in recent years. Its most typical example is the annual “Modernism Week” held in Palm Springs Scenic Area for up to 11 days each time. The core of the American modernist concept holds that both houses and buildings should naturally blend in with the surrounding environment. The most prominent feature is that the roofs are generally lifted and decorated with large glass windows so as to provide a good indoor view.
