1983年5月27日,一个在洪家兴记忆中永远珍藏着的日子。就在那天,经国务院批准,国务院学位委员会和北京市人民政府在人民大会堂联合召开了博士和硕士学位授予大会,我国首批18名博士学位获得者从领导手中接过了博士学位证书。洪家兴,这位复旦大学数学研究所基础数学专业81届的毕业生,成为我国自己培养的首批博士之一。洪家兴,祖籍江苏吴县,1942年出生在上海。1965年从复旦大学数学系本科毕业后,投在数学大师谷超豪门下作研究生。1982年5月中旬,洪家兴与数学研究所基础数学专业其他三名毕业生——李绍宽、张荫南、童裕孙,在复旦大学举行的博士课程考试中取得了优异成绩,6月份,通过博士论文答辩,获得理学博士学位。
May 27, 1983, a day that is forever preserved in Hong Jiaxing’s memory. On that day, with the approval of the State Council, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government jointly held the conference of awarding doctorates and master’s degrees in the Great Hall of the People. The first batch of 18 PhD degree winners in China took their Ph.D. certificates from leaders. Hong Jiaxing, a graduate of the 81st math math class at the Institute of Mathematics, Fudan University, became one of the first batch of Ph.Ds trained by China itself. Hong Jiaxing, ancestral home Jiangsu Wuxian, was born in 1942 in Shanghai. After graduating from mathematics department of Fudan University in 1965, he worked as a graduate student under math supervisor Gu Chaohao. In mid-May 1982, Hung Ka Hing and other three graduates of Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics, including Li Shaokuan, Zhang Yinnan and Tong Yusun, achieved excellent results in the PhD course examinations held in Fudan University. In June, they passed the doctoral dissertation defense to obtain Doctor of Science degree.
