There are few reports on the determination of cerium or lanthanum in organic rare earth metal complexes. In 1973, P.Borda et al. [1] reported the determination of steel elements in organometallic complexes by the oxygen flask combustion method, but did not mention the decomposition of cerium complexes and the solubility of oxides in the absorption liquid. The authors have experimented with the decomposition of organic cerium complexes by the oxygen flask combustion method and found that the oxides of cerium bond on the platinum wires after being burned by the oxygen cylinder and are hardly soluble in the absorption liquid to affect the determination of cerium. Later, we used the wet-oxidation method to decompose the sample, and then obtained the satisfactory result by using the redox titration method to determine the content of cerium.
